The training of the first group of Chilean psychotherapists in the AIT model culminated the past December 2015. This training program began in March 2014 and lasted a total of 242 hours. During their first year of training, all the participants had 88 hours corresponding to didactic lectures and supervisions of “learning cases”. During the second year were performed 154 hours of sessions corresponding to group supervisions of clinical cases. The training program was conducted by Dr. Pamela Foelsch, who developed the AIT model, and involved 8 therapists. Most of them are actually participating in the study designed to identify the mechanisms of change involved in the effectiveness of the AIT model for the treatment of adolescents diagnosed with identity diffusion.
